I have always had an interest in nature, particularly birds. Since the advent of digital photography, I have become a passionate bird photographer. Selection of a time when the light is favourable, waiting for the appropriate pose, positioning of the photographer in relation to the bird and careful editing of the photograph are all elements which I believe are important in producing an image of aesthetic merit. More recently, I have developed an interest in seascape photography. Living on the Mid-North Coast provides many opportunities for this type of photography.
