Currently sculpting with waste materials from local timber milling and the detritus found in the local discarded household throw-outs

My work begins not with an idea but with an encounter. For more than fifty years, I have worked across sculpture and film, drawn to overlooked objects, fragments, and traces of human activity

Gathered from beaches, roadsides, scrap yards, and domestic environments, these materials become the starting point for a process of observation, transformation, and discovery. I collect, cut, weld, grind, shape, photograph, film, and live with these materials

Meaning emerges through direct engagement with their histories, character, and relationships

Although many of the materials I use have been discarded or overlooked, my work is less concerned with loss than with transformation, resilience, individuality, and the possibility of new relationships emerging from what already exists
